2015 Boyertown Idol Contest Rules:

The 2015 Boyertown Idol Contest is a Karaoke singing competition in which 12 chosen finalists will compete to win a grand prize of $500. The contest is open to area residents (contestants DO NOT have to reside in Boyertown, PA). Contestants MUST BE OVER THE AGE OF 14. If contestants are under the age of 18, a release form must be signed by a parent or guardian to compete in the "Finals" event if chosen. The "Finals" will be held on Tuesday, June 16th 2015 at the BMBA Annual Sidewalk Sale taking place on East Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. 12 finalists will be chosen through out  the upcoming months at sponsored "try-out" events to be advertised on the Boyertown Idol website and local media resources. All contestants must choose their song(s) from the available songs listed on the Boyertown Idol website. Contestants can also provide their own background music. Contestants have the opportunity to audition more than once, and can come to multiple try-out events (see Try-out Dates & Information for age restrictions). The try-out events will give the opportunity for contestants to audition on a "FIRST COME" basis, due to time restrictions at sponsored locations. The 12 finalists will be chosen by appointed judges of the contest host, Soundfactor Entertainment.
